4 lbs pork shoulder roast, cut into two or more chunks
1 tbsp cooking oil
½ cup water
1 tbsp Liquid Smoke
2 tsp Hawaiian salt

Using the Instant Pot saute function, warm up the cooking oil in the inner pot, then brown each chunk of meat separately, moving meat to a separate plate when finished.

Turn off saute function, then add water and Liquid Smoke to the inner pot.

Add the browned meat and any accumulated juices back to the pot.

Sprinkle salt over the meat.

Lock the lid on, setting the pressure valve to Sealing. Use the Manual button to start the pressure cooking, then set timer to 90 minutes.

Allow to naturally release, then shred meat and serve with cabbage, rice, or as tacos!
